A- Black Mesa Trading Post. RT 160 and 41 (The mine road). Last place to gas when entering Black Mesa from the North. CHEVRON station here. Other reasonable gas up from here is Kayenta, then back track. Kayenta is 22 miles north/east of this point. Heading N/E on 160 you will recognize the trading post right AFTER passing under a huge conveyor that leads to railroad coal silo (Pink Dot M). At the Trading post you will PEABODY WESTERN COAL sign just at the intersection.

B- Kayenta Mine. This is the first mining complex you will see as you enter onto the Mesa on RT 41.

C- Black Mesa Mine. Black Mesa Pipeline Company. This is where the pavement ends and the 2nd mine is as well as the beginning of the slurry line. You will recognize this site by a giant water tank that says "Have a Safe Day" on it. Prepare to slow down as you leave the pavement and continue on. Soon after the road pavement ends you will encounter a detour and flashing light. Go with it and continue on the dirt road marked 41 until you get to the next landmak, Pink Dot D.

D- Sign. Black Mesa Mine Permit sign. This is facing away from you if you have entered via the mine. (facing south) The very next turn off (Right) is to GLENNA BEGAYS. There is a Blue arrow on a small piece of wood at that intersection.

E- Sign- "Biakeddy,Begay James". If you are headed towards John Benally's with the mine at your back then you veer to the right. Soon after is a cattleguard.

F- Rocky Ridge School. Giant Water tank on stilts.

G- Water tank "Red Power" painted on the side
