Hello to All,

As you may know, with the passing of the federally imposed deadline of
February 1, 2000, Dineh (Navajo) families living on an area known as the HPL
(Hopi Partition Land) within the Hopi Reservation are under seige by the
federal government and the federally created Hopi Tribal Council. This time
following the deadline is sure to see the increase in harassment of Dineh
families and the push to evict Dineh "resistors" from their traditional,
sacred and ancient homeland as soon as possible.

In the coming months the Dineh people need us more than ever. Their lives
are particularly linked to us here in Los Angeles, as we consume a majority
of the energy yielded from the two massive coal mines currently poisioning
Dineh and Hopi people.

In Commemoration of Earthday 2000 we are preparing to welcome Dineh and Hopi
traditional elders to Los Angeles to share their message with us on that
day. In order to make this effort a success, we have to raise money to do
it. Soo....
